well since anet doesnt want to put in rp districts tehy could at least do this.
they should put in a rp channel that has its own special color. so peopls who are rping can just turn off all channels but rp and people that are not rping can turn off rp channel so it solves the problem.
now there is the problem of people spamming wts and wtb in the rp channel so i say you put another type of ignore on the f list called rp ignore. you would still be able to see their posts in all and trade chats but not in rp chat so you can go on with rping.
if you dont rp dont flames this but others please tell me what you think.
I love RPing and its one of the things I miss the most when playing GW. I'm just not sure if I see how well this would work. I mean....RPing in the current GW (I see this changing in GW2) doesn't really work too well because the game is instanced with people only being in towns and such for such a short period of time. I would love to see something of this sort in GW2 or at least some role playing support. I just don't see this working well with the way GW works (I see it having the same usage as the party search feature).
I unfortunately think there is no demand for RPing in GW. The main problem with GW and RPing is that GW actually has a plot line. You can't pretend to be a villian in GW. All people in Elona are Sunspears for example. You can't RP as a corsair (though you could as an ex-corsair like Margrid). You couldn't play storyline missions and RP properly and stick to your character at the same time and still make sense. The limiting nature of what you can RP as due to the game's storyline is what makes in more difficult to RP in then other MMORPGs.
